Get to Know Me

 Hello my loves, welcome to Uncharted Adventures.

My name is Panji and I am person behind the screen. My intention for this blog is to share some things I've learned over the course of my life. I've had so many big plans for my life but none of them happened the way I wanted them to, I always pivoted in some way. Usually that pivot led to something better for which I am grateful, sometimes it led to painful experiences and lessons. At one point I realized that my life is not going to go how I imagine, it's an uncharted adventure (I know, I'm clingy). So allow me to introduce myself so we can make this more personal.

I was born at Queen's Elizabeth hospital in Blantyre on June 27th and my mom was just thrilled to finally have a daughter. I grew up in various parts of Blantyre; HHI teacher houses, Chirimba, Kachere etc. At the age of 9, my parents moved to Liwonde because my mom had enough of city life. I loved living in Liwonde, there was something about Shire River that made the air so refreshing. Our house was so close to Shire River that I could see it whenever I was outside. This would have been a good thing except I am afraid of water, like freaking terrified. The fact that my school was across the bridge made it even worse but everyday, I put on a brave face and strutted across it without looking down. That was the only thing I didn't like about living there but it was an amazing place. After 3 years, my parents decided to move to Lilongwe and I spent a decade there before I decided to come back to Blantyre because I am a big girl now. 

My education was pretty basic, nursery to secondary in mostly public schools. I am an overachiever so I was top of my class 90% of the time. I then pursued a diploma in Journalism, as a kid people told me "you should be a reporter" so naturally I listened to them. It was a good 2 years and the most I made out of my accolade was a one week cohost gig at Capital FM. After I realized that the Journalism paper wasn't going to get me much,  I went back to school and enrolled in an online university. I pursued a BA of applied sciences in Professional Studies and my god this school taught me so much. Through it I explored interests I didn't know I had such as graphic designing and photography. 

Speaking of interests, I have so many I don't even know where to start. Actually, let me just discuss the most important ones. First off, writing. This has been a huge one for me since I was a child, I remember reading Cinderella and I thought 'I am going to be a fairytale writer.' It doesn't matter how many new things I try, I still get drawn to it which is why I decided to start this blog. Another one of my interests is public speaking. Fun fact, I was in children parliament when I was 11 and it was a great experience (that's a whole other article). I am also obsessed with health and wellness, self development and hair care.

Wheew, that was a lot, if you've made it this far, you're a real one. I am very passionate about this blog and I will create content that hopefully, you find educative, inspiring and entertaining.
